As part of your student visa application, you will be required to satisfy the Genuine Student requirement set by the Department of Home Affairs. This involves demonstrating that your primary intention in coming to Australia is to study.
To assist with your application, you will be asked to complete a Genuine Student form as part of the Metavision admissions process.
For full information on the Genuine Student requirement, visit the Department of Home Affairs at homeaffairs.gov.au.
If you believe you may be eligible for credit towards your course based on prior study or experience, please indicate this on your application. Credit applications must be supported by verifiable evidence such as academic transcripts or professional references. Note that credit will not reduce your course below the minimum duration required for your student visa.
For full details, visit our Credit Transfer and Recognition of Prior Learning page.
Full course fee information is available on our Fees and Financial Information page. Your Letter of Offer and Student Agreement will clearly set out all fees, payment schedules, and refund conditions before you are required to commit to your enrolment.
Contact us to express your interest. We will provide you with pre-enrolment information including course details, entry requirements, and supporting documentation requirements. At this stage you will also receive information about the Genuine Student requirement, which forms part of your subsequent student visa application.
For information on the Genuine Student requirement, visit the Department of Home Affairs at homeaffairs.gov.au.
Once we have received your completed application and supporting documents, we will assess your eligibility and contact you within 10 business days to arrange the next steps.
If your application is successful, you will receive a Letter of Offer and Student Agreement outlining your course fees, refund conditions, and the terms and conditions of your enrolment. You must read and sign the Student Agreement before your enrolment can be confirmed.
To confirm your enrolment, you will be required to pay first semester tuition fees in full within 28 days of receiving your Letter of Offer. Failure to pay within this period may result in your offer being withdrawn.
Once your signed Student Agreement and deposit payment have been received, Metavision Institute will issue your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) via PRISMS. Your CoE is required to apply for your student visa.
Once you have received your CoE, you can apply for your Student Visa (subclass 500) through the Department of Home Affairs. We recommend applying as early as possible as processing times can vary. For full visa information visit homeaffairs.gov.au.
