When people first consider training in psychotherapy, they often picture one outcome: sitting across from a client in a private practice room. It’s a valid and meaningful path — but it’s far from the only one.
On Thursday 20 August, 12pm–1pm AEST, Metavision graduate and alumni representative Noula Diamantopoulos will host a live, experiential masterclass exploring exactly this question: what kind of life might become possible if I choose this path?
Meet Noula Diamantopoulos
Noula’s own career is a case study in the unexpected directions a psychotherapy qualification can open up. Since graduating from Metavision, she has built a professional life that spans private practice, appearing in the ABC documentary Space 22, developing and facilitating workshops, supervising other practitioners, and teaching internationally.
In this session, Noula won’t just talk about these milestones — she’ll reflect on how they trace back to the foundations she laid during her studies, and how a career she could never have imagined grew out of that original training.

What We’ll Explore Together
The masterclass is structured around four key themes:
- The diverse career pathways that can follow psychotherapy training — well beyond the therapy room.
- How the Metavision curriculum builds foundations that translate into work across many professional and community settings.
- The value of presence, curiosity, and reflective practice — the internal capacities that allow practitioners to work deeply and authentically with others.
- Why psychotherapy training is bigger than technique. It’s not only about learning therapeutic approaches; it’s about cultivating qualities that shape both your professional work and your life more broadly.
Not Just a Talk — An Experience
True to its name, Career Paths & Crayons isn’t a standard lecture. Noula will lead the group through an experiential activity, so bring a small set of crayons or coloured pencils and be ready to participate. It’s a chance to engage with the material creatively, not just intellectually — and, as the title promises, to have a bit of fun along the way.
Who Should Attend
This session is for anyone asking questions like:
- Am I considering psychotherapy as a future profession?
- What could this training actually lead to — professionally and personally?
- Is there more to this path than the obvious career outcome?
Whether you’re actively weighing up training options or simply curious about where this road might lead, this hour offers a chance to look past the standard career narrative and consider something deeper about the life a path like this can shape.
