Elsa Henderson
TeacherMA and Diplomate in Process-Oriented Psychology; BA in Anthropology
I'm a facilitator, coach, and consultant with a focus on helping individuals and groups navigate complex situations and uncertainty, particularly when traditional strategies are inadequate. In each role I see myself as a guide. I have a BA in Anthropology, an MA in Process-Oriented Psychology and am currently pursuing a PhD in Leadership and Change Studies.
As a postgraduate researcher at University Of The West of England (UWE), my interests lie in understanding how people move through situations that extend beyond their current understanding and the capacities they draw upon to do so.
I am a co-creator of the Converge Network and a diplomate of process-oriented psychology. I have worked with teams in the public and private sector, focused on areas such as migrant rights, finance, tech, and healthcare.
Currently my work is centered around partnering with impact networks and organizations, and facilitating their transition to a relational approach to collaboration. Since 2017 I have employed my background in process-oriented psychology to teach postgraduate students at the Metavision Institute, training to become the next generation of psychotherapists and facilitators.
In private practice I work with 1:1 clients on topics such as developing communication skills, working through conflicts and developing their capability to bring more of themselves into their work with others. I utilize narrative, metaphor, and awareness-based practices to help my clients achieve a sense of alignment and clarity in their lives.
Through Catalyst to Change I offer bespoke workshops on helping people relate to the world and themselves in meaningful ways so they enhance their professional capabilities and experience a greater sense of wellbeing. I am passionate about creating immersive experiences–from deep reflective exercises to extensive retreats–enabling participants to gain insights and engage in transformative dialogue.
Since 2013, I've had the privilege of working with groups across the world. Currently, I split my time living between Portland, Oregon, USA and Bristol, England. I enjoy trail running, exploring new cultures and engaging in conversations that expand my perspective.
Along my journey, I have discovered that each individual, as well as each team, holds a field of potential, innate direction, and path toward development. Tapping into and unfolding this intrinsic direction is my passion. This unfolding is unique and multi-levelled, often arising at the fringes of our awareness. Bringing information arising at the fringes into the centre, broadens collective awareness, enhances creativity, and enriches the culture of individuals and groups. Increasing awareness expands our capacity to flow with challenges, find meaning in difficulty, and embrace and live our full potential.
Elsa's focus is to support individuals, groups and teams to increase their impact, through clear communication and deepening of relationships. She specialises in, communication, conflict facilitation, visioning, and leadership development.
