Acceptance of Offer

There are three enrolment forms that require students’ review and signature:

  1. Letter of Offer
  2. Acceptance of Offer
  3. Course Fee Payment Option Agreement

These forms are to be signed and returned to the Metavision Institute Office online or by mail or email as soon as possible after the admission interview to formalise students’ enrolment.

Students without counselling skills or training in their previous qualification or work experience will need to complete the Foundational Counselling Skills Bridging course.

Metavision Institute’s higher education courses are not offered to international students studying on an Australian student's visa.

By signing the Acceptance of Offer, students accept the following terms and conditions:

  • Payment of tuition and enrolment fees and other charges for the course, which have been disclosed to students in advance via the website and the Student Handbook
  • Non-payment of tuition fees without a payment plan in place will lead to cancellation of enrolment
  • Informing the Metavision Institute of any changes to contact information, including phone number, address, email and emergency contact
  • Abiding by the Metavision Institute’s policies and reasonable requirements
  • Meeting all course requirements in order to graduate from enrolled courses, including personal therapy, placement, client practice and supervision hours

Payment Option Agreement

Students have the option to pay their tuition fees through a payment plan. Students cannot commence their enrolled course without signing a Payment Option Agreement or paying unit tuition fees for the semester in advance.

Options are outlined in the Payment Option Agreement. Students are to select the payment plan that works best, and sign and return the form to the Administration Office. Students will receive invoices with payment details according to the Payment Plan Agreement.

If fee payments are not paid on time, enrolment may be cancelled unless prior arrangements have been made.

If students experience any financial difficulties, they are to contact the Student Liaison Officer as soon as possible. A late fee of 2% per month of the amount owing will be charged after the due date, unless an arrangement has been made in advance.

Fee Refunds

Students may withdraw from their enrolled units prior to the Census Date, which is Day 4 of each semester, and receive full unit tuition fee refunds. The application fee and course deposit are not refundable.

Students who withdraw from their enrolled units after the Census Date will not usually receive a fee refund. However, students experiencing special circumstances may apply for a refund on the Course and Unit Withdrawal and Fee Refund Application Form available on the website. Documentary evidence to support the application must be provided. However, the course deposit is not refundable.

Scholarships

The Metavision Institute offers a limited number of scholarships for students from equity backgrounds each year, including a scholarship for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander student. Applicants are required to make a formal application on the Scholarship Application Form and supply a reference. Applications are reviewed by the Teaching and Learning Committee and the Committee’s decision is final.

Credit Transfer

The Metavision Institute provides students with credit for academic study and prior learning, while also ensuring that the integrity of the postgraduate courses and PACFA’s professional accreditation standards are maintained.

Students may submit applications for credit and recognition of prior learning for the following units using the Credit Application Form (available on the website):
