At its highest level, the Governance Board acts as the Institute’s corporate governing body. Comprising a majority of experienced, independent directors, the Board is formally constituted with defined terms of reference to uphold the integrity, vision, and long-term sustainability of the organisation.

Completed short course programs at both Harvard Business School, and Harvard Law School. Over 30 years experience as GM, CEO, MD and academic/researcher/consultant. Seeking short term teaching, visiting professorship roles.
Sue Davey, CPA

Sue Davey is a seasoned strategic leader with over 25 years of executive and board-level experience across higher education, healthcare, professional services, and the purpose-driven sector. A CPA and GAICD-qualified director, Sue brings deep expertise in governance, finance, audit and risk, strategy, organisational growth, and transformational change.
Guided by a commitment to ethical, values-based leadership, Sue is currently undertaking a PhD focused on ethical leadership in AI-integrated workplaces. She also holds a Graduate Diploma in Strategy from Harvard, a Graduate Certificate in Strategic HR, and is a Certified Executive Coach.
Sue’s passion for education and human development is reflected in her extensive work as an MBA lecturer across multiple universities, where she has inspired students around the world to lead with clarity, purpose, and impact. Whether in the boardroom or the classroom, her approach is grounded in integrity, compassion, and a strong belief in human potential.
Shehnaz Bhangu

Sam is a Non Executive Director/ Shareholder member of the Governance Board.
He brings with him more than a decade of regulatory compliance experience in the
education and training industry. As an educator, Sam is passionate about creating
environments where conventional beliefs are challenged, paving the way for
innovation and growth.
Sam is an active member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD)
which allows him to keep developing his governance expertise.
Outside of the professional environment, he is an avid reader, fitness enthusiast,
sports lover and an experienced traveller.

Deborah Culhane

I have worked with boards in the private and public sector for over 30 years and I’m a passionate supporter of access to education and continuous learning, particularly for our regional communities. I enjoy helping organisations partner, collaborate, and build relationships with education providers, to build strong and resilient communities. Back in 1995, I was an Assistant Lecturer at Monash University Law School and we participated in rounds of discussions with other Universities in a nationwide review of the higher education sector that ultimately led to the “Bradley Review” and then to the implementation of TEQSA.
Accessibility across regional Australia was a key component of those discussions. I later worked with Latrobe University as in-house corporate counsel where I worked directly with partner organisations to support the University’s campuses and its research work in regional Australia. Being on the boards of Lake Mountain Alpine Resort, and also Chair and director of Corryong Health for over 6 years, I experienced working through the process of disaster recovery in the wake of Bushfires and then navigating COVID-19, and I have seen that education has played a large role in helping individuals rebuild their communities. I participated and been involved with establishing various local and regional community leadership programs and also the “Country University Centres”. I have also been a director and am a past chair of the Murray Conservatorium, which is part of the NSW regional conservatorium network, and we built and established collaborations with Central Queensland University. This enabled our students to access CQU’s degree programs from home, which was a first for music students who traditionally only had access to city based programs away from home.
Being involved with Metavision, as a director, and as a past chair, since 2018, has been a challenging experience, and I have seen it evolve from a small private education provider to a recognised tertiary institution. I am excited to be part of the leadership team that will see Metavision’s growth as a unique and vital contributor to Australia’s tertiary education sector.
My day to day life is taken up with running a commercial and property law firm in regional Victoria, with offices in the Upper Murray, East Gippsland and Wodonga, and my board work with Business Wodonga. We support regional business and education through collaborations with other regional chambers and the Victorian TAFE network.
I am passionate about our regional communities, with their amazing variety of food, wine, walking tracks, cycle paths and ample opportunities to participate in cultural life, with theatres, art galleries and music.
When I get the chance, I love to go sailing. I once did the Sydney to Hobart yacht race. There is absolutely nothing glamorous about it!

Dr Jenny Wilkinson
Ex-Officio Member of Governance Board
Jenny Wilkinson is a senior academic leader with experience in academic
governance, quality assurance, and institutional leadership in higher education. She
currently serves as Chair of the Academic Board, where she works with Metavision
leadership to fosters academic excellence and strategic growth. Jenny has
previously held senior leadership positions at Endeavour College of Natural Health
and Charles Sturt University, including Director of Education, Course Director and
Sub-Dean Research. In these roles, she led curriculum reform, developed research
strategies, and strengthened academic standards. Jenny has diverse research
interests including integrative medicine and health education. Based In regional
NSW, she enjoys talking road trips to explore the country and to unwind and
recharge.
The Academic Board provides independent academic leadership and oversight, ensuring the integrity, quality, and continuous improvement of Metavision’s programs. It safeguards academic standards and supports the achievement of the Institute’s educational objectives. Members include senior academics from other higher education institutions, industry and professional representatives, Metavision teaching staff, and an alumni voice – reflecting a diverse and experienced cross-section of the education and counselling sectors.
Dr Nadine Levy

(PhD, LLB (Hons), BA (Hons)) is the Head of Health and Social Wellbeing
and Applied Mindfulness at the Nan Tien Institute and teaches and researches in the areas
of mindfulness, compassion and social emotions. Her research examines the therapeutic
effects of spiritual community and considered the intersection of mindfulness and
psychotherapeutic discourse. She is an Insight Dharma Teacher in the Insight Tradition of Buddhism and a regular columnist for The Guardian.
Dr Shuai Zheng
Dean
Associate Professor Shuai Zheng (PhD, MDiv, BHlthSc, BA) is the Dean of
Metavision Institute and is an experienced higher education leader, educator,
researcher, registered health practitioner, and healthcare regulator. With a PhD
exploring holistic mental health diagnosis and combined with his experience in
pastoral care and Chinese Medicine, Shuai is passionate about excellence in holistic
and integrative education.
In addition to Shuai’s academic duties, he also holds a Statutory Appointment as an
academic and practitioner member of AHPRA’s Accreditation Committee for Chinese
Medicine education in Australia, as well holding a Ministerial Appointment as a
practitioner member of the NSW Chinese Medicine Council.
