A Grounded Introduction to Holistic Counselling

Holistic Counselling offers a spacious and supportive learning journey grounded in the Metavision holistic model. Whether you are beginning your counselling studies or continuing to develop your practice, the course supports the growth of both counselling skills and inner awareness.

Through embodied learning, reflective practice, and relational skill-building, students develop core counselling microskills alongside the inner capacities that support ethical, attuned, and relationally aware practice.

Each 12-week structure allows time for skills to be absorbed, practised, and integrated, supporting meaningful learning and providing a progressive pathway through Holistic Counselling One (Unit 1) and Holistic Counselling Two (Unit 2).

Why Study Holistic Counselling at Metavision?

An Embodied, Relational Approach

Counselling skills are developed through lived experience, reflective practice, and meaningful human connection. Students cultivate presence, self-awareness, and relational capacity alongside the practical skills needed for ethical and effective counselling.

A Progressive Learning Journey

Each 12-week structure provides time to reflect, practise, and integrate learning. Whether beginning with Unit 1 or continuing into Unit 2, students build confidence through a developmental pathway that deepens counselling knowledge and applied practice.

Grounded in the Metavision Holistic Model

Drawing on person-centred counselling, process-oriented psychology, and depth-based approaches, the course integrates mind, body, emotional, relational, and spiritual dimensions to support ethical, holistic counselling practice.

What You’ll Explore in Unit 1

Presence and Relational Foundations

Across twelve weeks, you will be guided through a carefully sequenced learning journey that explores deep listening as a practice of presence, alongside empathy, congruence, unconditional positive regard, and the development of emotional intelligence and therapeutic metaskills.
