Unit Description

Students will learn skills in case formulation, treatment planning, making referrals, and writing reports. They will develop skills in articulating and applying psychotherapy interventions.

This 6-credit point unit advances students’ understanding and application of psychotherapy in practice. Students will learn skills in case formulation, treatment planning, making referrals, and writing reports. They will develop skills in articulating and applying psychotherapy interventions.

The function of clinical supervision in supporting the development of students as psychotherapists is explored. Students will present psychotherapy clients in supervision and receive feedback on their practice from their supervisor. Professional documents including client contracts, consent to release information forms, and supervision and counselling logs, are utilised in this unit.
