Visas

To study in Australia as an international student, you will need a valid Australian student visa. This page provides an overview of the visa requirements relevant to studying at Metavision Institute. For the most current and complete information, always refer to the Department of Home Affairs.

Student Visa (Subclass 500)

Most international students studying in Australia require a Student Visa (subclass 500). This visa allows you to study full-time in a registered course at a CRICOS-registered provider.

Metavision Institute is a CRICOS-registered provider (CRICOS Provider Code: 04454D). Our CRICOS-registered courses are:

  • Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy (Holistic Practice) – CRICOS Course Code: 120636K
  • Graduate Diploma of Counselling (Holistic Practice) – CRICOS Course Code: 120635M

For full information on the Student Visa (subclass 500), including eligibility, application requirements, and processing times, visit the
Department of Home Affairs.

Applying for Your Visa

You will need a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) from Metavision Institute before you can apply for your student visa. Your CoE will be issued once you have accepted your offer and paid your deposit.

Once you have your CoE, you can apply for your visa through the Department of Home Affairs. Visa processing times can vary, so we recommend applying as early as possible to allow sufficient time before your course start date.

You may also wish to use a registered migration agent to assist with your visa application. Only registered migration agents are permitted to provide immigration advice for a fee. To find a registered migration agent, visit the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA).

If your visa application is refused prior to or after course commencement, you may be eligible for a refund of tuition fees in accordance with our Fee Change and Refund Policy. You will need to provide official notification of the visa refusal from the Department of Home Affairs.

If your visa is cancelled while you are enrolled, please contact us immediately at enquiries@metavision.edu.au.

Visa Obligations

It is your responsibility to understand and comply with the conditions of your Australian student visa. Key conditions include:

  • Maintaining a full-time study load.
  • Attending all required face-to-face intensives as part of the face-to-face study mode.
  • Maintaining satisfactory course progress and attendance.
  • Maintaining valid Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of your visa.
  • Notifying Metavision Institute of any changes to your Australian address within 7 days.
  • Completing your course within the duration specified in your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE).

Any approved deferral, suspension, or cancellation of your enrolment will be reported to the Department of Home Affairs via PRISMS and may affect your visa status. If your circumstances change, we strongly encourage you to seek advice from us immediately at
enquiries@metavision.edu.au or contact the Department of Home Affairs or a registered migration agent before making any decisions about your enrolment.

As a CRICOS-registered provider, Metavision Institute is required to report certain matters to the Department of Home Affairs via PRISMS. This includes non-attendance and failure to maintain satisfactory course progress. Any such reporting may affect your visa status.
