It’s ideal for those beginning their journey or looking to integrate counselling skills into an existing profession. This course can be completed fully online or in a blended format.
The Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy (Holistic Practice) builds upon the Graduate Diploma of Counselling (Holistic Practice) with advanced therapeutic skills, professional practice, and research. It’s best suited to those wanting to become PACFA-registered counsellors and includes in-person learning intensives as part of the PACFA-accredited, blended delivery option.
Yes. Both the Graduate Diploma of Counselling (Holistic Practice) and the Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy (Holistic Practice) can be studied:
- Fully online, with live tutorials and recorded content
- Blended, combining online learning with in-person intensives
If you’re seeking PACFA registration, the blended delivery of the Master’s is required, as it includes essential face-to-face components.
Absolutely. You can begin with the Graduate Diploma now and return to complete the Master’s within five years.
This flexible pathway allows you to take your studies step by step, at a pace that suits your life
Yes — completing the blended mode of the Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy (Holistic Practice) meets the training requirements for PACFA membership.
Please note: the fully online version of the Master’s is not PACFA-accredited but still offers advanced therapeutic training and personal growth.
Our programs attract people from diverse backgrounds, including:
- Those pursuing a career in counselling or psychotherapy
- Practitioners (e.g. educators, bodyworkers, coaches, health professionals) wishing to integrate counselling into their work
Qualified counsellors aiming to gain PACFA membership via an accredited Master’s pathway
We offer two intakes per year — in March and July.
Enrolments close at the end of June for the July intake. Places are limited to ensure depth of engagement and high-quality learning experiences.
No, Metavision does not currently offer FEE-HELP.
However, payment plans and part-time study options are available to help make study more financially accessible.
To apply, you’ll need:
- A Bachelor’s degree (in any field), and
- Basic counselling skills (offered through our Holistic Counselling Skills I bridging course, if needed)
You may still be eligible. We consider:
- Completion of our bridging program
- Relevant life and professional experience, particularly in people-focused roles

Yes. If you have completed previous counselling study or bring extensive experience, you may be eligible for credit or RPL.
