Unit Description
Students will continue to develop their knowledge of the selected topic through reviewing published research literature.
In this second capstone unit, students will either a) revise and implement the research proposal and timeline developed in Introduction to Research Methods and approved by the Metavision Institute, or b) undertake an extended literature review on the selected research topic.
For a), students’ research projects will (i) draw on and analyse secondary data (data already available in the public domain), or (ii) be literature-based, or (iii) be autobiographical, in order to minimise ethical risks arising from the research process.
Students will continue to develop their knowledge of the selected topic through reviewing published research literature.
Students will then write a report on the findings of the project or extended literature review. Including an outline of implications for counselling and psychotherapy practice, and make an oral presentation of their findings.
