Coming in 2022: Metavision Professional Development

We are excited to announce we will be offering a number of professional development courses in 2022. Here’s an overview of what’s coming up in the first half of the year.

April

Advanced Ecotherapy

In this course, which builds upon the Introductory Ecotherapy course offered by Geoff Berry in 2021, participants will be asked to ‘front up’ to the spirit of nature in the most immediate and interactive way.

What happens when we take notice of nature as if it were speaking to us? What messages will we get and how will we know they are not just our own inner longing calling back to us? How do we tell the difference between earth spirit and ego? Along with deepening awareness of, and connection to, the elements of nature, Geoff guides participants to open themselves as much as they can allow, to see what appears.

Participants will add new skills to their existing counselling or psychotherapy practice, or develop their beginner’s skills to the next level, enabling them to practice Ecopsychotherapy with others.

*NB: Metavision Online Course “Introduction to Holistic Ecotherapy” is a prerequisite for this course.

Putting Research Into Practice

Are you wanting to write a book, further your research project from the Metavision course, shape up a suitable pilot study for higher degree research or deepen your understanding of a particular topic? This course will provide you with the opportunity to undertake, or to further, an area of engaged research under the guidance and mentorship of Claire Jankelson. Under Claire’s supervision, you will bring careful consideration and direction to your intentions and develop your project.

This 7 month course will offer inspiration to fuel your learning and direction. We will use poetry and prose; imagination and form; spirit and the structure of phenomenology. The approach we take to the phenomenon is intimate and unafraid; the opportunity to courageously step into your rich imagination and unfold your edge experience in ways that serve your intentions.

Traversing the Rainbow: A Process-Oriented Approach to Working with Altered States

This 3-part series, facilitated by Elsa Henderson, will focus on learning to work with altered states and uncovering the resources they contain.

We each hold the ability to experience a variety of states of consciousness, from the mundane to the profound. Altered states are those that deviate from our normal or accepted state of consciousness. Each state is an opportunity to discover something new about ourselves which supports our innate wholeness.

If you are an awareness explorer who is curious about mystical or creative experiences or if you’re seeking a more fluid and dynamic way of being and working, then this class is for you.

Our new professional development branch is overseen by Deanne Reyes and includes short courses and workshops for alumni, registered therapists and others who are interested to learn more about the Metavision approach.
